Hi, I'm new here. I did a search for "tremsetter" and got no results, so please be gentle with me if this has been asked before. I just bought a PRS SE Standard 24 and wondered if PRS recommends the Hipshot Tremsetter or not. Also, will installing one void my warranty? I've put them in Strats with awesome results.

Thanks,
James

Thanks for the reply, Mbroadster! I guess I have to get some of that nut sauce. I never needed it with my Strats, but PRS doesn't seem to shape their nuts, they just put that huge monolith on there with deep slots...

I think you'd be ok. Plenty have used Tremol-no, or whatever it's called.

As for the nut, weak link on the SE. One of the most common mods is to replace it with a Core PRS. Inch improves tuning stability.

Welcome to the forum!

You could try a stabilizer that will not need any modification, paired with a Tremol-No will give you the most flexibility.

Or a CSL Sophia Global Stabilizer Tremolo Block. Not sure if it will fit the PRS tremolo but it does Floyd and Strats standard bridges.

Thanks, cags12. Those are both much more expensive than the Tremsetter though. The guitar is staying in tune very well so far, so I might not need any device.
