Hi my custom 24 has vintage zebra hfs pick ups I don't even know what it means, I know there not everybody's cup of tea are they a popular choice or is the humbucker style the only way to go now days ?

HFS = Hot Fat Screaming. Basically it is a high output pickup. Where featured PRS usually fit them into the bridge position only (I think). I have a HFS in a SE STD 24. Prior to acquiring this guitar I was never a fan of hot pickups but I really like this one.

Are you considering changing it?

Ah ok got ya bin on google having a look when I google vintage hfs prs custom 24 they have the 2 black pick ups in the pictures my one has one white one next to a black one and same again a white one and a black one I thought that's why they where called zebra vintage hfs shows how much I knew lol

So Zebra's are one white oval thingy and one black oval thingy in the same pick up. If that is what you are seeing you have correctly identified them.

Yes. You are correctly describing the Zebra appearing pickups.
The 'vintage' part of the description is likely referring to the neck pickup.
The typical combo is HFS in the bridge position and Vintage Bass in the neck position. I'm thinking that is where the word 'vintage' comes in.

That makes sense Kevin fair play I'm not the most clued up person on prs mine was actually gift it was actually considering selling
Until I put nice strings and played it for a couple of hours over the weekend now I'm dead set on keeping it plus it seems to me the re-sale value of prs guitars doesn't seem great better just enjoying.
You guys have bin great help getting my knowladge up on prs.
