HFS in a Swamp Ash Special?

Hey guys,

Had anyone used a HFS in a maple neck SAS? How was it? Guitar doesn’t feel overly twangy, I never found the HFS too bright anyway.

My 99 SAS has HFS/VB with maple neck and fingerboard.
I don’t find it at all twangy - maybe cranking volume and tone and adding the middle rail it goes in that direction.

Cool, I imagined the pickup would have enough output to fatten it up?
