Convex in order to fit the thickness of the blade switch. The backplate and jack area looks convex as well...I can’t quite tell if the area around the blade switch is concave or convex.

I’ve had plenty of Ibanez guitars, slim with ultra thin necks over the years. None lasted. But, I’m with you....I’d own one of theses!I've never been a fan of Ibanez, I don't play shred (can't), I don't like locking nuts.
