Here we go again referring, of course, to the David Gilmore Auction. I highly doubt that we will see the kind of excitement for Dave Davies' guitars but the Kinks were arguably one of the most influential bands of the whole "British Invasion".
This auction is featuring his 1958 Gibson Flying V Korina. The guitar that recorded "You Really Got Me" and those power chords. In case you are wondering it has an opening bid of $90,000. It isn't Dave Davies selling this; someone else owns it now. Lots of other cool guitars on this sale including possibly my favorite, this 1954 Strat. This sale is on my birthday; can someone get a hint to my wife?
