Hemp replacement speakers

Just read an article about guitar speakers made with hemp. Anyone tried this?
Article said it gives you a darker tone, eliminating harshness on the high end. Great for combo amps. Also said the speaker doesn't lose its shape when playing thus giving your amp its truer tone.

I've been using a 12" C-Rex for years. My all-time favorite speaker. I read where people say the hemp cones "need a longer break-in time", but that has not been my experience. I think that, right out of the box, they already sound broken in. That's the BEAUTY of them.

When has a (modern) guitar amp had not enough treble? The warmer tone of the hemp cone (and in particular the C-Rex) is a godsend for me. Makes the amp sound instantly old.

I’ve used Eminence Cannabis Rex to tame spikey, bright sounding amps. Worked good for solo projects and bluesy, rootsy stuff but got lost in a band mix with multiple guitars. For reference, I play mostly rhythm guitar in a 60s through 2000s cover band and also comp a blues harp player.

The Tone Tubby Humboldt is a great upgrade for lower power amps like Champs and Princetons to give them a bigger, beefier sound while staying true to the amp's character. The hemp cone helps mellow out the highs of smaller amps. I've also put Humboldt's in 1950's & 1960's Ampeg Jets and Rockets where the old Jensen's have failed and the old Ampegs didn't loose their magic with the Humboldt.

I will have to give some of these a try before I purchase my next set of FRFRs! Thanks for posting, I had no idea they existed ;~)) The cannabis plant is IMO, the most diverse plant on this planet. It can be used for many dozens of applications including paper (US Constitution, many bibles, US currency), fabric (when done right more comfortable and durable than cotton), fuel (Henry Ford built a Model T that ran on Hemp fuel), rope, parachutes, medicine, recreation, food (Hemp seeds contain almost as much protein as soybeans and they provide all nine essential amino acids making them a "complete" source of protein).

Best part of hemp speakers is you can send in an ashtray full of roaches and have your own custom speaker made I also recommend sativa gummies rubbed on the surround for "doping".
