I just bought this guitar and I love it.
I'm thinking about going with an Alnico 5 magnet P-90 in it as that is the sound I am more used to.
The PRS website says this about the 594 McCary Sopabar & the Duncan Antiquities that are installed from the factory...
"For this PRS/Seymour Duncan collaboration, we started with the Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90 for its sweet, vintage growl and cool, gritty sparkle. However, we modified the pickup slightly so it sits at the proper height in our cavity design".
My question is simple... Can I buy a new pair of Gibson P-90's (or any other standard P-90 replacement Lollars, etc.) and just drop them in the guitar with no hassle or modifications? or is there going to be issues because of the body cavity design?
Thanks!
