help on CE 24 model production year

hello,
i'de appreciate help on figuring out the production year of my CE24 bolt on, serial number 072662. I figure it was made in 1990 since i bought it early 90's and because of the 0 but i am questionning the 7 number. I've read on this forum that the 7 stands for CE model. Is this accurate and where this 7 information comes from?

There is also a discrepancy on the pick-ups. The prs site model history page says the HFS and VB pick-ups only came in 1991 although its what i have on the guitar.

So a bit of light on this would be nice

7 is just the digit PRS used on the old CE models. I have no idea why. Yours matches up as a 1990:

1991 could have been approximate for the HFS/VB. Perhaps the transition started at some point in 1990. Or it's possible the set in there are replacements (if you bought it used).

Nice thanks. Since i bought it new from the store, i suppose they were transiting pickups , maybe end of 1990 early 1991
