Help me decide: SE Custom 24 Spalted Maple or S2 Studio

Being a Strat owner and a S2 Mira Semi Hollow, i was in the market for best of both worlds guitar

I have the opportunity to get either a used SE Custom 24 or a used S2 Studio

I'm leaning towards the C24 but the Studio is muddying the waters there.

Funnily enough, the no birds on the Studio is what kept me from looking at them (yes I know the S2 Mira doesn't have them).

But i am looking for a good classic rock, blues, blues rock with decent in betweens and still cleans up nicely.

Having played both, i am on the fence and need a push as to one over the other.

I’d go for the S2 studio, it seems like a unique and useful sounding guitar.

SE CU24’s are abundant, if you look long enough you can snag one for grocery money down the road.

I love my dot adorned S2, in fact those little white circles have now formed a mental association with bada$$ bold guitar tone.

I think the studio will give you a lot more tonal range.

I like spalt a lot, but would go studio anyway.

S2 Studio. Not even close.

The spalted top on an SE is only veneer, anyway, so what’s the big deal?

Get the US guitar. Best in the long run.

I'm a big fan of the S2s, less flashy but way more guitar than the SEs when it comes to substance
