I recently purchased a PRS S2 McCarty 594 Thinline. I really like the guitar. I think it's even better than my Gibson SG Standard that I previously owned. I can't get the intonation dialed in on the top E and A strings. I'm using 10-46's. I need to move the saddles further back on the top two strings but I'm almost out of room. Is it possible to take out the saddles out of the bridge and reverse the orientation like on a Gibson ABR-1 type bridge?

Yes, you can totally reverse the saddles. She may need a full setup. I think they come with a 9 guage set stock, so you moving to 10s would put more relief on the neck. I would do that first, get everything dialed in and then see if you still need to mess with the saddles.

I suggest measuring the relief first. Then check the action. May need to raise the adjustable saddle on the bass side

Is this a new guitar? If so, I’m confused. I’ve never encountered a new PRS that wasn’t set to perfect intonation out of the box. Take it back to the place of purchase and have them set it back up.

I agree assuming you bought it local. If not I'd do a full setup from square one.

My S2 594 Thinline is impressing me more than any other PRS that I have owned (it’s hard to believe that for thousands more, the core model can get any better) . This is the “ most” perfectly intonated
Guitar I own. I am sorry yours is not. I hope you get this worked out as this is one HECK of a guitar!

I have check/set the intonation on every guitar I set up. It needed nothing. This and my S2 Standard Satin, keep in tune better than I have EVER seen!! I’m stoked BIG time..
