Hi Guys, long time lurker, first time poster.

I have come across someone selling a second hand 2011 private stock custom 22 that I am interested in, however I would like a second (or third or fourth) opinion as to whether or not it is real or a knock off clone. You guys are super knowledgeable and I really appreciate any help you can give. The pictures are not the highest quality, but here they are:

Sorry, but that looks like a fake to me.

I’m not exactly an expert, but it looks that way to me. Curious to see what others say.

That trem cavity... ouch! Looks like it was done in wood shop.

Even if it were genuine, which it's not, that'd be the most awful looking Private Stock guitar I'd have ever seen.
They wouldn't be able to find you such a bad looking top.

Heh, some really dig the random look of a hand routed cavity without using a template.

Extra points though for using what appears to be a one piece back.

You're all right. Thanks. I wanted it to be real so I didn't pay much attention to the details (other than the back of the headstock). The real giveaway for me is that the string pull after the nut isn't straight.

Thanks for all your input.

I am having the same problem identifying mine.

To be fair string pull on a PRS isn't straight, it's almost there but still not quite dead straight like a Strat/Tele is.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Hey there.
I bought a "Custom 22" about 18 months ago because I loved the way it played.
Used it for sessions and on stage. Now I am quitting after 35 years and I love my
guitars but thought I would check out(finally) the details on mine before I tried
to sell it. I got it from a fairly reputable private guitar shop and it was listed on the Tag
as a "Custom SE 22". Well the other day I decided to look up the serial numbers to track
it and lo and behold it is NOT an SE it is a 2019 S2 22 Fret, deep-deep zebra blue/purple
solid color. Can't post pics yet or I would show you. But I can post the serial number and
perhaps you can tell me from them a little more info, because I have seen it priced "used"
for anywhere from $900 to $2000. And I have only found #2 of them like mine, in color anyway.
If any of can offer advice, OR look up the serial number I'd be very grateful. 19-S2037812 hand
written in gold ink under the clear coat right at the top of the headstock where it should be.
I know S2 means "made in Maryland, USA" but I don't know any more than that. String Locks,
Vanilla colored pickup covers, it's a beauty. Anyway, thanks for any help. I'll post a pic or 2 when I can.

I am hoping this works.

Any help out there? I should have polished her up. Been almost a year since my last gig.
What can I say.
