Today I'm exactly 6 weeks post-op. So I read as much as I could find on the subject of lifting, and everything basically says the limitations should be 6-8 weeks. Well, I'm at 6. I couldn't take it any more. I had to get into my studio with a guitar!

So, I decided that it was time to schlep one of my guitars in its case, down the stairs, into the studio and to play through my PRS amps!!

It was great. Really, just great.

I seem to have survived the experience in one piece, though I do have to say that 25 pounds feels a lot heavier now than it did before my surgery!!!

Glad to hear this Les. I can only imagine how it felt. I go on vacation for a week and I can't wait to get into the music room when I get home.

Oh, and more good news. That 25 lbs. won't be as heavy 3 weeks from now as it was today. Heck, in a couple weeks, you and Boogie will be :box:

That had to be a good feeling. I have to ask, what was the first song you picked or strummed through? I imagine if you're like me, you always go to your "comfort song" after a break from guitar?

Huzzah! As someone with a family history of cardiovascular disease (and an extremely sedentary day job), I applaud enthusiastically.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone!

Well, I was playing before, just unplugged.

But I played some blues stuff, just to hear the amps sing for a while. Lotta fun.

Boogie, sorry I got the wrong icon. I meant :dancing:not :box:.
