Me too! But I'm after Clapton's tones on Fresh Cream, Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire.
I love Jimi Hendrix but it's Clapton's 60's tones that really got to me.
I've owned real 100 watt Plexis and 50 watt 1987's. Just too loud to use these days, tho I regret selling them.
Love to find a 20 watter that can do that tone.
I have a Matchless 1 12 cab with a Celestion Heritage G12H30 and a Matchless 2 12 cab with a pair of Celestion silver G12 alnicos taken from a 60's Vox Super Beatle.
One of those ought to do the trick.
Here I am in a polka dot shirt, backstage at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, digging on Clapton in 1968. I was there everytime Cream played there!

Might roll the B vol down some and T volume up some, especially with humbuckers and double especially with a Les Paul (which has more bottom than most guitars).
