I have been wanting to do something with suspension on our HD since I'm not happy with it.

I installed a pair of 970 series progressive shocks Tuesday night and we took off for KC Wednesday. The old shocks were leaking oil out of the air lines when I put them on the floor so they have been overinflated and bladders blown. That would explain why they didn't work well.

The new shocks rock! I can adjust comp damping on the fly and they soak up bumps like nobody's business. They also happen to match paint on our bike so that's cool too.

Remaining mods will be on fork and front brakes. Not sure how much can be done with fork but I have heavier fork oil now and may change springs for a progressive rate over stock.

Brakes will get steel braided lines for sure and better pads. Maybe HH sintered or something like that.

Sure would be nice to have more power, no matter how much gear I would pile on RF or Zx9r you could still get out of the way quickly. Oh well at least it is ridiculous comfortable.

We do like our HD but there are just a couple of things that leave us scratching our heads.

Our trip to KC was fun ,weather was great the ride was great the food was great! It was over way too quickly!
