Have You Hugged Your Amp Today?

I am in need of an amp,real bad. Anyone have any xperiance with the SE 20 watt or 30 watt amp,they run around $1000.so any advise would be as appreciated.thanks fellow prs fans.

I found the SE50 new in store for less than $1000. My suggestion is pick one by the tubes you prefer. EL34's. 6v6's etc. It's a really nice amp. Think Plexi with a PRS character to it.

Amps are a lot like children. They need to feel wanted and loved.

I know you're worried that you might be spoiling them. But as long as you keep them away from junk tubes, and give them a little reassuring pat on the cabinet every now and then, you're not going to spoil your amp.

So go ahead. Tell your amp that you love it. It'll be happier, and you'll have better tone.

And remember to clean off the beer spills and dust, man. No one wants to hear your amp crackling every time you turn a knob.

I have the 30 head and cab, and really like it. I would say it depends on what kind of music you're into, they're not heavy metal amps but they do a bitchin job of most other things. That being said, you can also get a used 2 channel H combo for around a grand too. Some will say it's a better deal to look for the used USA amp... I wouldn't necessarily disagree, but if you're on a tight budget like I was, you can save a nice chunk of change off the sticker price of the SE if you find a good sale. I was trying out some new settings on mine lastnight and found some really nice stuff. I think I'll put it in a separate post, so you can check it out if you'd like.

Hey, folks - tube amps are like ovens, NOT microwaves. Lickin, kickin, chicken pickin...so long as you warm up the tubes first...be gentle

Hahahaha,that's good rob,come va,i been good just going crazy on an amp to buy there are so many choices out there .i think i will take my chance with SE 30.how wrong can u get buying a prs amp..peace bro

I had a SE50 and it was very nice. I only sold it because of lack of room. It always sounded nice .
