Has anyone liked a model so much they bought a bunch of em??

Not weird at all. I have 6 les paul standards. I love em, so much that I need them in different flavors.
Same, just different model. Les Paul Trad Pro V, yeah the guitar center exclusive but its the only model with that slim asymmetrical neck and compound radius. I have 4 of them, 2 from Guitar center, and 2 from the Gibson Mod shop with unique colors.

PRS Custom 24 CE, I do not own any currently, but I have bought one 5 different times. Why, because a long time ago the custom 24 core had the slim maple necks on them for a short time. Well I had the chance to get an PRS Artist V, which I still own and still love, it had a finish pop on it, so sent to PRS Tech center and they repaired, refinished, it and at that time I had them do some mods Satin the neck etc. But the Maple neck core had to be sold to get the Artist V. Fast forward a few years. I buy a new Core 24, now the painted super sticky neck, hated it. Eventually bought a CE, love the maple neck. Sold the CE to get a Core 24 with Floyd, hate the sticky neck eventually buy a CE again. Find and Awesome core 24-08, sold the CE to get it, you guessed it, hate the sticky neck. Repeat a few times. So I own a lot of Cores, no duplicate models, some 10 tops etc. The only one I play any length of time is the artist because it has satin neck. I sure wish they would do the slim maple necks on cores again. I do see satin cores on Sweetwater on occasion but they are so expensive now. My cores were purchased when they were sub 4k price range over many years.

Hollowbodies! I have two SE's, one Piezo tuned to E, and one not that's tuned to Eb. And then there's the Core Piezo HB, because I couldn't resist. All 3 are consistently my most-played. Firstly I love the tone, but they're also great because the lighter weight is a big plus for my back/neck/shoulders

My brother from another mother has a serious GAS problem
He's up to 4 or 5 408's
He loves them and can't say no to a good deal on one
He's got all the editions
WL, Artist, Core, 10 tops

In fact He showed me another new one Saturday night before the Buddy Guy Tour
so he may be up to 6 now

I am praying he needs to store one at my house
I'd gladly make the sacrifice

I have three different flavors of custom 24; floyd with maple neck/fretboard, 24-08 with rosewood neck/fretboard and custom 24 piezo. I also have two Tremontis, one with a stop tail and another with the tremolo bridge.

You are doing this guitar life 100% right

Well my green one has an EMG Gilmour set in it right now and it is just perfect. I am thinking of loading one up with some buckers, maybe an EMG 81/85 or 66/77 set or a Dimarzio PAF/SuperDistortion set.

I have 2 Huber Krautster II's: one is the normal variation and the other is a dual-HB. Love those guitars, necks are absolutely perfect.

...could possibly see a white doghair NF53 in my future to match my black dog.

If someone said they like to have the exact same guitars, just in different colours to suit their mood or just because they like playing that specific model, that's still OK. Whatever reason someone has for owning multiple of the 'same', its their choice and their reason is valid.

If you'd rather spend your money on ensuring each and every instrument is different, that maybe suits your musical Journey the 'best', that's fine too. Everyone is an individual and will have their own 'unique' journey through life that will change over time too. Maybe you start off by buying very different instruments so you never have 2 the same, but then your circumstances change and/or maybe need or want multiples (for different tunings and/or back-ups) and then as you get older, only want a few instruments so keep just 1 of each model you 'like'.

I see many people with Multiple Cu24's in their room - some on walls, some in racks/stands etc and others are happy with just 1 for 'something' different in their collection...

Its individual choice and where they are in their Musical Journey...

i try to not buy a duplicate of any guitar or model...strats are different since i can make them whatever. But my first 2 PRS were 20th anniversary custom 22's But one has a 5 way rotary and the other is mccarty switching.
