Has anyone been staying on Kent Island for a few days and gotten a backplate signed without being able to book a tour?

I really really really want this Westie backplate signed by Paul!!!

Really don't want to have to make a trip without the wife months later after she starts teaching school again. We did a tour together a few years ago and it was awesome!

We'll be coming back from Maine and staying two nights by the water on the way home to SC.

Thanks!

How about arranging, that you send the backplate to PRS to let it signed?

PRS:
- Paul signed me on request of my dealer in 2013 a backplate, because the 513 was shipped with a lefty whammybar. I presented this backlate to a friend later, because...
- I met Paul 2014 at an exhibition. He autographed in person another 513 backplarte with a dedication and the surprise being gifted with a technical modification of my 513 for free.
- At the same venue Greg Koch signed the 513 backplate of the spring compartment.
[Rudolf Schenker (Scorpions) signed on a guitar magazine aswell as Alex Scholpp (ESP Endorser, guitarist of Tarja Turunen, Farmer Boys, Sinner, etc.)].
- Mark Holcomb signed the backplate of my MH signature with dedication and a heart.

Reverend:
- Greg Koch signed my Gristlemaster before shipping.

Linus:
- John Petrucci signed the backplate (electrical compartment) of my Custom Thinline. He signed aswell the case.
- Aynsley Lister signed the backplate (spring compartment) of the same guitar. Anys has aswell a Linus in his collection.
But I cleaned both autographs, becausd I have Petruccis on a case, and Ayns' on several other items.

I've got one with Paul's , and one with Steve Fischer's , and Matt Artinger .. I always sign mine with an engraver with the date I finished it and the clients name ... I have one signed by an artist friend ( on her tribute guitar) and my famous boss

You should still try to do the tour if you can - just get on the wait list for the days you’re there and spots will probably open up (assuming you’re there on a Tuesday or Thursday). That’s what I did and was able to go this past week on a few days notice. Didn’t get to see Paul but got to see the Vault and a few other VERY interesting things on the floor 😉

Yeah, we've done the tour. The dates we're there were not available even a few months ago when I checked.

I didn't realize you could send one to them to get it signed! Thanks!
I had to send the Brian’s WL 509 back for warranty work (wiring issue) right after I got it. I asked for Paul to sign it while it was ther. He did.

Yeah, a squealing bridge pickup in my original whale blue 509 got me a signed 509 plate that is on my current 509. That must have been 2016 I think.

Ah, gotcha. Same thing happened here, but I got on the waitlist for the day I wanted and was notified and able to grab a spot the next day for a few days out. Guessing folks tend to cancel the week of. I had seen the entire tour online but it was worth it just to see it in person. And, like I said, also very worth it to maybe catch a glimpse of things to come 👀

I may call and email them to get on a wait-list for Thursday, June 19th, the day we head back to Charleston.

Bangor. We'll hit Bar Harbor one day while we're there again. Wife's niece is graduating from high school so we're staying for almost 2 weeks.
Make sure you go to the Atlantic Brewing company. Also, the best lobsters are on the right just before you hit the causeway to get onnthe island. Can’t remember the name of the place.

Thanks!

I sent the email to request getting on the waitlist. If we don't get in, I'll bundle a few plates and request a chance to get him to sign them and then send them back to me!

Thanks everyone!

That would be the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. Never had lobster from there but the chowder was great. For lobster we go to Thurston on Mt Desert Island, right on the water at Bass Harbor.

How far from Kent Island?
