Has anyone ever seen or know for sure a PRS SE Bernie Marsden in Black?

She left it here and buggered off to live in Hawaii and I ain't paying to ship that to there.

She arrived about an hour ago.
Been all this time setting her up as was awful.
Bridge pup ring was installed backwards meaning the bridge pup was at a severe angle.
Strings were...well not sure what they were tbh but in the bin they went.
Action was ain't no mountain high enough!
However once more to my liking with new set of Slinkies it rings like a bell!
Really resonant and cuts through steel type sound but clean and incisive.
Definitely way different to anything else I own.
Battery for the EMG pups was where I thought it would be and looks like a fairly neat job with it surrounded by foam so it doesn't move and soldering all looks clean.
Been a long day so a NGD thread tomorrow with pictures.

Used to love the way this black Singlecut looked with double cream pickups. Sold it and put the pickups in one of my Bernies.

You need that extra thick body to get that LP sound. The Bernie has it.Great guitar and great deal!
I think some of the SE245 derivatives, especially the Bernies and the 245 Soapie are some of the best deals on the planet.
My SE Singlecuts had the thinner body. They were very good guitars but had a thinner sound than my Bernies.
I sold them all, except for my SE Soapbar, after I got my first Bernie Marsden.
The Bernie Marsdens and my 90's and '00 CE22's are my favorite PRS guitars with humbuckers.

I drank the PRS kool aid, and it was tasty!
There was a run of European Bernie’s with real 57/08’s in them. Now that would be a keeper!

Who knows what this had in it originally as it has those active EMG 80's in there and no other pups came with guitar so mia.
I'm going to say now they sound like great metal pups and hard rock but I'm not sure they know "mellow"

I use D'Addario XL 10 - 46 Nickel Wound on my guitars that I bend strings on. Play the blues on.
And that's the way I play my Bernies and CE22's.
But I use 9 - 42 on one and that's nice to go to too.

The latter set is what I put on yesterday, Ernie Ball Slinky 9-42.
Feel and sound pretty good so far but was wondering if 10's might be better.
But all I had was 6 packs of 9-42 and one pack of 11-54 at home...lol.
