Has anyone compared the Core Silver Sky to a Kiesel Delos?

I have heard that both guitars are some of the best USA S-style guitars. But, I never hear anyone compare the two. I know that Kiesel can be custom made, but I was looking for more general comparisons. I actually never had an S-style guitar (primary guitars are a 2001 PRS CE 24 and PRS S2 Mccarty 594 Singlecut), so I appreciate all help. For a little more detail, I've been trying to decide between the Silver Sky and a HSS Kiesel with a 12' inch radius, thinner neck, and beryllium single coil / Lithium Humbucker pickups.

i mean...youre comparing 2 different ideas. Silver sky is a 62/63 strat. The Delos youre talking about is a more modern super strat. I dont know anything about kiesel pickups or how they compare to the fender style stuff.

youre also in a prs forum so id be that youll get more people saying buy the SS. But id look at a Silver Sky vs a fiore if youre wanting a HSS.

pickups aside, would you be able to compare the neck shape? I know that I'm looking a thinner neck for the kiesel and a flatter radius, but I'm curious about the overall shape of the neck.

I have never played the Delos, though I have played the SS and lots of Strats, including modern ones similar to the Delos. These two guitars are basically polar opposites within the Strat spectrum, in nearly every way including the necks. The SS has a vintage neck, including a 7.25 radius fingerboard; the Delos is 14. They will feel nothing alike. The pickups will sound almost nothing alike. Really the only similarity of the two is the body shape, but this is really only visually because there are physical differences here too that will be apparent when playing (the neck joint is very different: sculpted on the Delos and traditional on the SS).

So, the question you would want to answer for yourself (and no one can answer this for you because it is so personal) is: do you want a modern or a vintage style Strat? In look, feel, and sound.

For me, it would be the SS everyday. I own modern Strats, but have discovered that they are just not my thing and I prefer many of the more vintage characteristics. They just suite my playing better.

If you're looking at modern Strat style guitars because the SS doesn't work for you, the Tom Anderson and Suhr models are excellent choices known for build quality and tone, so you might want to check them out.

They take special orders on neck shapes, pickups, etc. I had a couple of Andersons for a long time, and they were competitive with PRS quality. If I was more into bolt-on guitars and the SS wasn't for me, that's the way I'd go. But I'm a set-neck person.
