Hi, silly question here but has anyone added a shim on a PRS silver sky core model before? Asking this because I notice had to lower the saddle quite a bit before achieving desired action and in doing so, the guy screws end up protrude quite a bit.

Wondering if adding a shim may help lowering the action without the need of lowering the saddles to much

I have not heard of anyone doing that. That doesn't mean that it hasn't been done though. I would be surprised if it needed to be done. I would probably change the screws to shorter versions. It is possible that the rest of the setup could be adjusted to resolve that as well.

Yes I shimmed both mine , like the trem better floating and like the screws to not poke my had as much . Stew Mac makes a solid shim with no holes that with some trimming can work for the Silver Sky , and with some work a standard stew mac shim can work , toy just have to trim the shim.or I made my shims from hard plastic convention name badges :)
