Did not want to clutter up Markie's Free Setup thread, so I am starting a new one here.
I have the Fender guitar work pad/mat that has the built in neck support, but I just ran a Google search and found some other interesting ideas.
Here is one that resides in a case that opens up, pretty cool.

Wow, $500, pretty steep for what it is though.

I like that one in Markie's thread, much simpler.

The bench is Craftsman, from Sears. About $200...

But feeding the Yeti is expensive!

11top, that first one is nice since it folds up more compact than the second one.

This is my current setup.
I can use either the Fender mat, or the neck brace I got from StewMac, and a towel.

Man, I wish my bench was that clean!
I use one of those common dealios like the Stu Mac.

That was about 1 month after I bought it. It doesn't exactly look that clean right now...

In fact, you have to clear off the mess to get to the mess...

Cool animation from Grundorf's site.
Mine shipped yesterday, will have it tomorrow.

11top, thanks for posting that link yesterday.

I'm not a big fan of neck cradles, but I can see the appeal for some. However, this thing^^^ just looks dangerous. Way too many buckles, latches and other hard edges. That's a PTC ding repair waiting to happen.

I am pretty careful with my possessions, so I will see how this pans out.
I like the full size one too with the lid, but this one folds up to half the size.

I agree. Plus, it's one more thing to take up space, which is limited for some of us. Also, it's one more thing to carry if you ever travel much with your gear. One of the small stand alone SOFT neck cradles - like the one Les linked to - makes more sense to me. Toss it in your gear bag and done. Use it almost anywhere. Better yet, who doesn't have a couple of old t-shirts that would (and already do) suffice?

To each his own, but I'll stick with something cheaper and much less trouble. I've made it this far without one so why change now? These things seem alright, but it's just another gadget I don't really need. If I was in the traveling guitar repair business, then maybe...
