A few years back I bought a portable Grundorf work station.
Saw it linked from member 11top in an old thread by me.

It is a very cool portable work station for sure, but using it on top of my guitar case cabinet it too high for me.
Either I need to grow another foot, or the cabinet needs to shrink a foot, and I do not see that happening.

Using the Grundorf on the floor is OK, but a little hard for me D:
So...after Googling and ogling over the type of tech stations big bands use, I dropped the coin on a Circle Three Designs one after conversing with owner Christopher Shalhoub.
He had one in stock that I liked, so I placed my order for it.
Christopher has supplied a lot of bands with his gear including Joe Bonamassa.

Here are the specs on it:
3/8" ply guitar tech workbox (OD: 36" x 29" x 50") with
4" casters (2 locking), Chauvet overhead LED light bar,
magnetic toolbar, recessed rackmount power distributor
on the back center of the work-surface, plush silver work surface
and lid interior, recessed power inlet on the back,
3 drawers with slides rated at 200 LBS, drawers are liked
with 1/2" black polyethylene foam, removable front lid
with folding and telescoping steel table legs built into it,
10 recessed handles, 8 recessed latches, and heavy duty
ball corners.
I will be able to stand at a comfortable height when working on my guitars, and have the extra storage in the drawers for stuff.
One can never have enough extra space for "stuff" :D
I also like how it has an LED light to help me see what I am doing.
The LED light strip has multiple colored light in it which you can display one color at a time, or all combined.
Also you can put it in a mode where the lights dance back and forth while changing colored.
There is also a sound activation mic that can time the lights to music.

I am very pleased with this tech station, plenty of room, and a nice work area for my guitars.
Now if PRS would send Skitchy over to my place for a day of guitar tech class, that would really make my day.

Six outlet power strip
That little plastic box to the right I thought was a fuse holder, as I had no power to the strip.
Opened it up later and it is a switch for the outlets, very nice, and I had power galore!

Where do all the pedals go when you swap them out, they go to the bottom drawer of the guitar tech station
Sung to Nirvana's Lake Of Fire song.

Middle drawer for cables
The drawers are deep at 7.5".

Top drawer for tools, strings, and miscellaneous items
FedEx dropped off today some new tools from Stew-Mac including that guitar shaped parts holder, three nut drivers, and pliers and cutters.

No need for a neck rest
I found out I really do not have to use the Stew-Mac guitar neck rest as when the guitar is laying flat, the foam is high enough to let the entire ride above it.

Guitar station, tech station, or whatever you'd want to call it, that is an awesome piece of equipment! Would be darn useful for studio general purpose, too.

I really like it! Looks very well made, in addition.

Heck, when not in use with the tech thing, you could just close it up and stick a guitar head or equipment rack on top, and have controls at eye level. Very nice!

WOW!!! Love it!!!

On a side note, I see you're a fan of the Planet Waves/D'Adarrio cables. I had two crap out on me just from home use so I switched to Mogami. Heck, even cheap cables I've had for a long time are still working.

Anyway, nice toys!!

Does not disappoint.

I appreciate the party atmosphere, also -- but don't you want one of those CSI lights? You know, to check for blood stains and bleach and whatnot.

Thanks Les, would look great in your studio!
That is a great idea too on setting a head up on top.

Thanks Brice.
Yes, I have several of their cable here at home, and a few at work.
Also have a few PRS cables, and also Mogami.
I mainly play wireless though with my Line Six G50 when using the Mesa, but use a cable with the Blackstar and my small battery powered amps.
Sorry to hear you have had problems with your American Stage cables.
Does not disappoint.

Thanks Dusty.
He he, I know the light you are talking about.
I have to read up on this light and figure out how to have it respond to music with its built in mic.

Corey, that is bada$$! Congrats my man. If you ever tire of it as a workstation, you could turn it into a b!tchin' humidor with some cedar and a little ingenuity. Heck, a couple of bottles of scotch on the workstation portion and an ice bucket with some other bar accoutrements and that thing would slam in a rock-n-roll themed man cave!

Love it! Wish I had room, lol, even if I did though I have a feeing it would have the same fate that my new workbench has seen, still boxed up ready to assemble, lol.

Real nice, Corey. Beats having to drag all the tools out to the kitchen table like I do!

I think I'd still use the neck rest or at least get some foam to cover the edges. I'd be worried I'd find a way to bang a guitar on the aluminum.

He he, I do not smoke or drink :D
But that is a cool idea though.
Sweet gear addition Corey! You're like ...professional!
Thanks, now if only I could play like one.

This takes up more room than my safe did where it is, but I like the safe hidden now out of view.
Fantastic!
Thanks!
Damn you, Corey. Now I gotta save up for yet something else...

Er, I mean... way cool Corey!
Thanks Bill, you going to order one?
Sure is a great way to organize your stuff and have a nice area to work on your guitars.
Corey's guitar shop - Open for Business. JB would approve.
Good side job if I had the skills, gotta practice.

Try working on the living room floor, one main reason I went with this.
Yes, I am going to keep using the Stew-Mac neck support.
Pretty awesome work station! Congratulations on the purchase, I hope you have a lot of fun with it.
Thanks, and I hope so too.
That is nice!
I want one for my living room.
Mine is in the dining room :D

By the way, I had seen this one pop up before in my searches.
I think if I did not have my guitar case cabinet I had custom built for me a few years ago, I would got for something like this.
It opens up on top to bet a work surface, and no need to keep your guitars cased since you can fit two to a drawer.

I am sure the guy who made my tech station for me can crank one of these out, and maybe make the two bottom drawers for accessories and tools.
