Guitar Straps > Silver Sky

I like the PRS “signature” suede strap. I had one from Levy’s a while back too that was very similar. I prefer straps that don’t slide around much and these have been very comfortable and they don’t break the bank.

Perri's (although made in Canada) makes an assortment of nice leather straps that range from simple to stunning in any color you are looking for. They are easy to find and get on Amazon.com. I have at least 3 of their straps on my PRSi. Somewhere there is a thread called "Get your Straps Out" or something like that, that shows what I have, as well as some other stunning examples from our other members.

“1st Most Notable” Forum Member speaks highly of Heistercamp straps.

They are a UK based company.

Which straps or any recommendation for good leather or quality straps...eg. airstraps or other US brands?

These are the nicest I've found, if you like English bridle leather stuff. The pull-up leather is too thick for the stock strap buttons, but the super-soft fit fine. If you order, have them make the button hole one inch long, and it'll be a breeze to get over the stock button.

These are among the highest quality leather goods I've ever found.

If you use strap locks, of course, any of the Heistercamp straps will fit. I was so floored by the quality of the leather on my first one that I bought more, and two for my son. I get the padded ones, and I think they're a memory foam:

I also like these, made with a different type of leather finish - Nappa leather - in Germany. The leather has a different, really nice, hand, and it's padded with firm memory foam. I ordered several of these with a one inch strap button hole, again, for ease of use with the PRS stock buttons. Extremely high quality.

And the PRS leather straps are no slouches, either! I've got several of them; one is over 20 years old and shows zero wear.

i am looking at the Heistercamp super soft. the button holes (standard sizing is 8mm) and 10mm(suggested strap lock size). will the 10mm be enough to clear the PRS strap buttons... thanks for sharing

I think I get the standard hole size, because I've never asked for anything different, but I order the slit one inch long. I once measured a PRS strap, and that's what it was. They'll make it that way for you, no extra charge. I also recommend the padded straps. They're nice!

Alaine is the person at Heistercamp who deals with the orders, and she can tell you what to do to order the length of the slit you want.

I’d never heard of them, and since @bodia recs are good I googled them. Seems like they are having serious issues with customer satisfaction recently.
Wow, I had to go look at their recent reviews. Not anything like what I experienced. I’ve got about 15 of their straps, and never had a bad experience. They are custom made, so I did have to wait 6 weeks, or so for an order to arrive. But, I expected that. Seems like, based on recent reviews, wait times are much, much longer. Hit hard by Covid-19?? Quality is top notch. Have to admit, I’d be wary over ordering right now.

I am going to take it a different way. For straps I like ones that are smoother like seat belt material or other material that allows me to change position.

The closer to the nut the more vertical higher up horizontal.

D Addario makes nice straps and they don't cost that much comparably.

I’m a big fan of Couch straps.
2nded! I've got 3 of them.

Yes, Couch does seatbelt material too. Plus, they manufacture in the US and are also reasonably priced for being super great quality, and they are very long which is great for super tall people like me.

Not to get too sentimental, but I bought my 1st one because they have straps made with this black 70s Volkswagen vinyl, and seeing it instantly took me back to riding in my dad's '72 Beetle when I was little kid. And then, I was impressed enough with it that I now have several.

Souldier is usually my first choice, but Couch is great and PRS has some nice ones too.
I'm currently looking at Red Monkey for a leather one. With all of the suggestions already mentioned, I'm sure you'll find a great one.

My kids got me these for Chanukah, taking me back to my Space Invaders days - and also sparkling cats.
