Where is that speedo pic
I have a couple of projects that I've been really wanting to get done but I have to be in the right frame of mind and have plenty of time.
One is the Vela I picked up late last summer. Didn't care for the import bridge pickup so I tried a covered 5310 but I discovered the bridge needs polarity switched and volume wasn't working......ugh.
Today I stuck a squabbin 5909 and flipped wires to get it in phase. Next, get volume issue figured out which i did.
Been playing it for 45 minutes and I'm very very happy with the results. 5909 does a really good job in the Vela.
I painted back side of lampshades white to match the guitar and I think that's going to look cool.
2nd project is putting DGT bridge pup in my McCarty to go with LT neck. I can't wait to get this one done but it unfortunately won't happen today.
5909 is a personal favorite of mine so for me, it has turned a cool guitar into a really great guitar.
