Guitar Diet

Les, you claim to not understand the collector mentality, but I sure do like the cut of your jib. :D

I don't want to have a lot of stuff; I just like having a few really great things I'll use on a daily basis.

Like...I'd rather have a couple of pairs of great shoes or boots, than of a closet full of inexpensive shoes or boots. Make sense at all?

I totally get it - and it makes perfect sense for an actual musician. You have your small selection of actual tools that you use.

Me, I'm still trying to figure out the purpose of electric guitars in my world. They appear to be designed as some sort of cross between "auditory device used to scare cats", "tupperware-like clutter" and "wearable art". But for the real work I do - the stuff that earns me money - yep, I stick to a few simple but completely effective tools. No room for clutter.

Probably because all available space is already hogged by guitar clutter ;)

I'm divorced and no longer caring
And so am I, it's good for me:)

Divorce isn't nice whichever way you look at it but if you manage to get to the other side reasonably unscathed you can buy motorcycles and guitars without having to worry about hiding them or where the money's coming from:D

Not gonna torture the feet with crappy shoes, or torture my ears and hands with crappy guitars. ;)
Hey, who said anything about crappy? The word was 'inexpensive'. Think SE shoes.

No, they're not Italian leather, but neither are they torturous.

:)

If Mr. Bernie Marsden appears at Experience 2016, and he does the meet & greet thing - I'm going to request a photo of him, with a sad face - to use as a photo response to future SE bashing. :P

He posted to Facebook that he's planning to be there.
