My son has been asking for a nice electric guitar for a while now. I've been reluctant as he tends to lose interest quickly and move on.

I found a schecter c1, micro dark and orange 1x8 cab stupid cheap local so I bought it.

I kept the amp setup and gave him my cube 30 but i also told him to get to work or I'll sell it all. Shouldnt have too much trouble getting my money back.

My actual point was that I've heard him practice a couple of times and it makes me chuckle to myself justustening to it.

Makes me think about what my parents and my brothers had to endure while I was forging my way through guitar 101!

My first amp was a bastardized fender head and music man 4x12. Mom forbid me to buy it but I did anyway and here we are 40 years later still playing and now my son has entered the gas chamber!

I’m in a similar place with my son and his drumming!

Although he never has to be nagged to practice and his teacher is over the moon with his progress.

So much so he’s getting one of these for his 11th birthday, in a couple of weeks time!

Congratulations on your son taking up the axe.

I’ve been waiting for my kids to want more guitars so I can get rid of a few. So far they are stuck on one acoustic each. The oldest has my second classical. The youngest has a 12 string I bought her because I wasn’t quite ready to give up mine, but I think I might forget a blue HB there soon.

It’s fun when everything clicks. One day you notice that suddenly they can play better than you!

PS, I took my son into the studio that day, and gave him a new CU22 Soapbar and a Mesa, and he was off to the races,

Of course. The red HB will be very comfortable in the white case.
