My guitar is arriving at the store today but I can't go get it... After trying sooo very hard to buy from anywhere but GC it ended up that they had the specific guitar I wanted and also had the MusicMan model my wife wanted in stock. I paid friday night with my debit card but was concerned that my daily spending limit would make it difficult so I had my wife bring her card along as well as another credit card in case we needed to split it up to get around that. Charge said it went through just fine. Monday morning I get a tracking number on the PRS no problem but nothing on the MM... I figured since it was coming from the warehouse that it may be coming with other stuff and I might not get a number so didn't worry about it. Tuesday, nothing... Tuesday evening I did my taxes and my bank's routing number recently changed so I had to log in to my online banking to get that and noticed that the money for the PRS was taken out but the money for the MM had not... They were closed of course so I called yesterday morning. Second charge did not go through, the system did not retry it, no one called, no email, nothing on my order status... ZERO indication of a problem. He sent it through while I was on the phone and it approved just fine. I then pointed out that we were going on 5 days in which this could have been corrected and I had no indication of a problem and since my PRS was due to be delivered on 3/5 I wanted the MM there at the same time to save me the hassle of the extra trip, gas, time, and likely dinner out. He tells me that he can upgrade it to 2nd day. I tell him it needs to be there on 3/5 and I would pay for the upgrade if need be. He said he would call if they needed to authorize a charge... No call... 9pm UPS gets it in their system... 2nd day... And they are taking their sweet time making sure it takes every second of that time to send that guitar from Lenexa KS to Minneapolis.... So now I have to let my PRS sit in that store overnight! Not sure how I am gonna sleep tonight lol... This will be the one time I won't get harassed to do a survey too...
 
Relax, man! It's going to be a sweet NGD for both you and your wife and in a week you won't remember all this baloney. :cheers:

I know... I just have nightmares about someone that works there dropping it, banging it into something, or "tweaking" it... Like I said... I tried HARD not to buy from them. The signature dealers were very responsive and pleasant to talk with but in the end no one had one in stock that spoke to me. I emailed/called 20 dealers within MN and the surrounding states to see what they had and out of those 2 got back to me and 1 of those totally ignored my request and tried to sell me a les paul... It's hard to support the mom and pop shops when they won't even try to do business with people waving cash under their noses...

Yes sir along with my youngest daughter. It's been great. Just anxious to get the new toys home where I know they are safe.
 
And the moral of the story is don't use a debit card for big purchases. :vroam: But yeah, sounds like they didn't follow through on the sale though! Didn't they want your money!?

Anyway, NGD will make you feel all better tomorrow. ;)

Lesson learned... I didn't want to put it on a credit card, I was shopping in person, and the bank was closed for the day... It was the closest thing to cash I had immediate access to lol

I have a MM Petrucci - if I'd known it bugged you so much, I wouldn't have bought it.

I'd have ordered the blue one.
 
FWIW, I love my EBMM Van Halen. Awesome build quality. I just wish most of their guitars weren't basswood.

She selected the hard tail version. I imagine there will be a trem guitar in her future at some point though lol.
