I'll start. I have three PG and PGish guitars. They all have chaltecoco necks. The PG's have BRW boards and the single cut has ABW. The first one I bought, the apricot one with a trem i has a nice warm sweet bell like tone. I liked it so much I bout the stop tail version in tigers' eye. This one is a bit brighter with a more aggressive attack and has great in hybrid tele/sg/lp vibe. The recent addition the SCT 245 has kind of surprised me. I thought it would be more on the mellower side with the thick mahogany body and trem. I couldn't have been more wrong! It is the punchiest and most aggressive guitar I have ever owned and even thought not quite what I expected I am pleasantly surprised as it really offers something different. It got me thinking about my assumptions on bridge types and body shapes and their relationships to tone. I suspect contrary to my initial assumptions that DC's might be warmer overall than the SC's and that trems may not mellow out the tone as I once thought. My sample size is small, so I'd love to hear others' musings.
