Thinking about getting a Graphic EQ Pedal (MXR 6 band), does use anyone use on and if so what brand.

I use the MXR 10 in the fx loop of my SE30 to tame some of the ultra deep bass, works like a charm. Someone recommended it to me because it's very quiet, no hiss when it's on.

Another MXR 10-bander here. It's the only thing on my board that is ALWAYS on.

I use a boss ge7, but only for certain songs to get a more "metal" tone. It's great for that but I love my amp tone anyway, but the eq allows me to dial in more specific things. I could certainly live without though. I do great that the Mxr is quieter than the boss. I get a hiss from mine when High gain on the amp. Mine is in the loop of the amp.

I use a 10 band MXR in the loop of my Mesa Electra Dyne. I needed a clean boost for leads, and I thought it'd be cool for some tone shaping too. But the amp tone is great as-is, so I just keep it set flat with the volume up a bit for solos. Works great, very transparent and quiet. It does what I need it to do.

I use a couple of EQs (an old Boss GE-6 and a Joyo EQ), both to tame/modify the input or output of an acoustic simulator pedal on each of my boards. I generally find I don't need much EQing otherwise, and tend to use my amp's tone controls for minor tweaks.

Nonetheless, I will probably use one of the EQ pedals a bit more once I get a Loop Router (one of those pedal loop bank combo selector jobbies) for my "home" board, because I'll be able to mix and match the use of the EQ a lot more dynamically.

I've got a Boss GE that Robert Keeley modded 15 years or so ago. Totally worth it, if he is still doing it. I can now BOOST freqs, as well as cut, without a huge jump in the noise floor. That said, I don't use it much anymore.

I've also got a Source Audio Programmable EQ pedal that is really awesome.

This isn't a graphic EQ and I'm not suggesting that anyone buy one instead of a graphic EQ. I have no axe to grind.

I don't use graphic EQs because I find them noisy, but I have an Eventide H9, and discovered that an EQ/Compression algorithm was available for it for twenty bucks, So I got it,

It has an EQ preset called "Les to Leo" that makes my McCarty Singlecut sound like a freaking Strat! Not that I use the EQ for that, but it was pretty amazing to try out. Anyway, the EQ is very, very powerful and good sounding.

I use the graphic EQ on my Mesa Mark V amp, so no pedal required for me.
I was going to suggest the Mesa pedal.

I just got the new Mesa Mark Five 25 amp a few weeks back, and the built in EQ is very powerful, same one as the bigger Mark V has on it.
