My son is graduating HS this year and I had kind of a unique idea for his graduation gift. I thought about it for a while and queried a few key people who all thought it was great. I even ran it by Sammy, prefacing the whole discussion with “I won’t be offended if you would rather have a conventional gift or cash”

He’s been drumming since he was 5 - he’s a true musician, picking up my guitars in the last 2 years or so and teaching himself, he’s WAY better than me already! He was genuinely excited when I told him my idea …

1. He had borrowed my PRS parlor guitar so he can have something to play when he’s with his mom (50/50 setup), so I started with that guitar, the sweet prs gig bag it came with, extra strings, a multi tool and some cables. It’s the one on the right here:

2. He prefers acoustic, but has been messing with electric too. He’s had anywhere from 20 to 30 electrics here at my apartment to try out - but he quickly gravitated to one, and says it just feels better than any of my others. Well, he’s getting that too, my PRS Silver Sky SE:

3. I have several amps - but he’s always grabbing that SPARK GO - so I’m giving him that as well.

I’ll make sure he has picks/cables/cases/tuner, etc - he’s gonna end up w a pretty nice rig :)
