I purchased these gotoh lockers for my McCarty a couple years ago and I don't like them at all so I put original tuners back on last night.

I've seen photos of tone pros lockers that look like they were on a McCarty. I would like to try them or anything else that would work.

If any body wants to trade for them cool. If not I will give them to the first person to speak up.

What do you not like about the Gotoh's? I've always found them to be pretty nice. I've got them on 3 of 4 Kluson equipped PRSi. I couldn't find the Tone Pros you speak of anywhere. I could maybe take those Gotoh's off your hands if you don't find a trade.

Very cool of you. I might have something that you'd be interested in on a trade. If you like, PM me and we can discuss it.

I really just always fumbled around trying to get them locked and strung because I've been spoiled with phase 2 and 3 tuners. I'm just a bull in a china shop is what it boils down to. I didn't bother changing bushings, I just kept the stock bushings on it and they were a little loose with those.

I can't find the tone pros either. I've seen pics of them on what looked like a McCarty. They look a lot like phase 2 prs tuners but with a larger knurled knob on top instead of the small slotted button that prs uses. If I can't strike a deal with Lloyd then you can have them.

Hmmm. They're more simple to use than most people realize. Just pull the strings tight and tune up. When taking strings off, just pull the strings away from the tuner and detune til it lets the string go. They're auto locking. Maybe the bushing makes a difference. I changed mine.
