Does anyone here use a gopro camera on their guitar?? If so how are you mounting it and what's your thought on it? I looked and most of what I found is a mount that looks like it will be a semi permanent mount

I've worked with a few people who have used them and I think they worked mostly with the clamp mount : http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/jaws-flex-clamp. (For shooting this kind of thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bijQXgNM0g) Also someone I know used the adhesive mount and managed to get it off without any problems after a couple of weeks.

Just my 2c but I got a GoPro3 for work and had loads of problems with it. It kept cutting out and not responding which (according to the internet) was a common problem with some batches. I sent it back and got it replaced (from the same store) and had similar problems so in the end ditched it. I think there were some batches of the 3 Black that had problems but having said that they worked fine for most people so I was probably just unlucky and I didn't have any issues sending it back and getting a refund.

I've had one for months and honestly have never even turned it on. I am disabled and some things are harder for me to do then others and learning new things is one. I've asked one person locally to help me but they have not as of yet. I hope to try soon and would like to try with the guitar.

My band is shooting a video and the guy shooting just used some adhesive thing that came with it I think. I let him used it on our bass player's bass first to test it out.
Didn't leave any residue or anything.

I use a GoPro 4. It is mounted on a guitar at the head with a Jaw Clamp. It's really useful to analyze my playing to work on improvements. I havent used the GoPro with a PRS yet because of fears that the Jaw Clamp may rub off the serial number at the back of the headstock. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Aw, C'MON, MAN!! (from a bass player) LOL...nice...Dweezil used something like that on the ZPZ DVD and it was cool as crap! I'd imagine the clamp will have some soft protective material to protect whatever it is attached to. If there is a clamp with thumb-screw, you could fold a polishing cloth under it to protect the headstock. Good luck, however you proceed...

This guy is using the adhesive method.

I have seen a lot of YouTube videos where players are using their GoPro cameras.

You mean like this? They had to have it on a clip because someone in the audience gave it to him to record.
