Goodbye Columbus With A Cameo Appearance...

My wife and I drove to Columbus, OH (home of THE Ohio State University!) to see Partybaby's show...there was a line in front of the club for about 3 hours before doors to see the two bands (Partybaby opened for SWMRs, who are just so freaking awesome as well and super-talented guys).

It was all kind of spur of the moment, but we got there in time for the show despite heavy construction traffic between Detroit and Columbus, and we had a ball!

Jamie gave Carol a shout-out during the show, and we even got a little half second cameo on the band's video diary after lunch before they headed out to their next show in Cincinnati, and we headed back to our neck o' the woods:

Just too much fun. Good crowd, great show, lots of enthusiasm from the crowd. All cool!

Well, another time, then!

What really excited me besides the music, was to sit and talk with both bands before and after the show. These are musicians who are all about the music, about being creative, and who really jell with each other. Both bands like and respect each other.

They are also working their tails off!

It's good that they're young and energetic enough to work this hard physically, and more important, that they're intellectually emotionally suited to the challenge.

I think they appreciate the journey -- and the opportunity to give people a great show and a fun time!
