Our band played a two hour show on the square in Fairfield Iowa to night. It went very well and we had a fabulous response from the people there.

It was kind of humid so I fought my sticky neck the whole time but we all played really well AND we kept the music flowing which is something I've been trying to push the band to do.

Our drummer has been dieting so with the diet and getting his in ear monitor mix established, he has been on fire. We are getting really tight and that makes the show so much better.

It's so satisfying when gigs go like this so i just wanted to share.I forgot to mention that I'm home by 11:00!!!!!!

If you had a gig tonight, I hope it went well for you too.

I had one last night too! Mine was over top the ocean on a dock bar; you couldn't ask for more humidity. Which guitar are you using? Which finish? My CU24 has the V12 finish and I never have to deal with the neck being sticky.

Here is a pic of my friend guest appearing on vocals....

Packing up at the end of the night....

What kinda Tone King is that on the left? What's the amp on the right?

Played a benefit with my acoustic duo yesterday. It was in the afternoon, so it was nice to have the evening off.

I'm actually playing with my other band in Washington, IA next Friday night at Pipeliners. It will be my first time playing there, is that a decent place to play, gush?

Cool! It's kind of small but most of the time it's a good crowd. This place has changed owners a lot in the last 20 years. I've played it quite a few times back in the day when things would get wild!

Pipeliners is one of three places that has live music in Washington.

I'll come and check you out!

I was using my 2011 cu24. Not sure it has the v12 finish.

We had a good time, but I wasn't quite that lucky. When I turned out the light, the clock read "4am." Why do I let my band mates talk me into breakfast at 3am after a gig?

Sounds good! Looking forward to meeting you. I'll have you up to play a song if you know one off our set list, too. \m/

We played Saturday as well at the diveyest of dive bars ever. It was fun. I have no pics, sadly. I can try to get some. It was hot.

I love this forum. Where else do you see words like "diveyest" or "badassery"?

It's a total hoot! Just gotta remember those words.

I played for the most part of 3 hours with a local pro at a private party at a yacht club on their outdoor covered patio which overlooks the ocean. No pics and weather was perfect.

The best part was that it was an afternoon gig!

Sounds like all of you did great at your respective gigs.

Very cool. Always nice to hear of a good gig.

I just had my first gig at doing lead vocals in the worship band at church. Our music director just left, so I'm filling in until we can fill the position. I don't fancy myself a fantastic singer, and I wasn't the most confident (or prepared) about the song choice, but everything went well and I came out alright. Now I just have to prepare for this week...
