The ebony looks fine on the top view, but the back view seals my original call for snakewood.
This is you reading my mind...I'd say ebony buttons but change pickup rings to black.
Interesting that the snakewood kind of compliments the IRW. Very much the picture in my head when 88prs offered them up.The ebony looks fine on the top view, but the back view seals my original call for snakewood.
That is a tough call. I think I like the snake wood.
I'd say ebony buttons but change pickup rings to black.
Man I thought this would be an easy and obvious decision. Wrong again!I concur with Sergio...
Unless you are considering this. Then we'll need another pic to decide...
I thought about doing a poll, but just wanted to read people's opinions.Where's the poll? My vote is for snakewood, it looks like it matches the headstock pretty well.
Thank you sir! With those pickup rings ivory buttons would look good BUT nice freakin guitar either way.
^^^This certainly exemplifies my current conundrum!^^^I don’t know how it’s even possible to decide! That guitar looks great with everything.
The gold looks nice, the ebony looks nice, and the snakewood looks nice. No matter what you choose, you can’t make a bad decision on this one.
That's an idea! Thanks! You could seal the deal with snakewood pickup rings.
...and maybe a snakewood TRC? Your call. That's an idea! Thanks!
Lol!Ebony looks perfect!
Or, why not 2 of each? Top row Gold, middle row Snakewood, bottom row Ebony.
Can’t afford a GOLD toilet seat so I went with plastic ivoryI don’t know why, but Ive never liked gold hardware...
I guess it reminds me of bathroom fixtures from the 80’s...
^^^This certainly exemplifies my current conundrum!^^^
Thanks Les, perhaps I am in for occasional rotation between the three choices.
I think after looking at it again this morning, that the ebony will stay on for a bit.Ha! That’d be way too much work for me!
The Hammer Of The Gods guitar has a RW headstock veneer and fretboard, and came with ebony tuner buttons; There’s no other ebony on the instrument, and at first I thought, “That’s odd.” But once I had the guitar for a few days, I dug the contrast, and I wouldn’t change a thing now.
The other PS electrics came with mixed hardware and gold buttons, but they look great, too.
Nothing wrong with a little contrast, though your snakewood set looks cool, too!
Too many good choices!
