Going to be Playing the National Anthem on my PRS at an Event

Going to be playing the national anthem at a small event with my PRS and was looking for feedback. I originally did it in E Major, but changed it around to A Major and ditched the wah and went with my McCarty SC594. Let me know your thoughts. I also think the 594 looks cooler than the Custom 24 and prefer the A Major version. The JB i have in it is just a little noisy. I have a BKP Holy Diver in another 594 and think I may try that out.

Both sound great, but somehow I prefer the version in A. I like the chords you throw in and when you insert them. Good job.

Most excellent playing! The first one had more feeling, subtleties that made it yours without being over the top, and it was classy

A Major gets my vote. I liked the spacing better, too. But, when it’s all said and done, it’s always better on a singlecut.

I think the Custom 24 looks cooler! And, I feel you need a vibrato for the Star Spangled Banner. However, full on Jimi at Woodstock version is the only way I do it, so factor that in to my opinion.

Agree! Hence my Jimi at Woodstock version preference. It speaks LOUDLY to me. Get a white strat, a fuzz face, a univibe and go off!

Toss up for me! I like the wammy bar usage on the second one, but I think you had a cleaner performance on the first one, which as we all know can change in a moment without notice!! Just be sure to play at maximum volume!!! Thanks for sharing and in the future, you may want to put something like this in the "Studio & Stage" section of the forums.
