Gibson Les Paul to PRS....which one?

I'm thinking of moving from my Les Paul to a PRS. I'd prefer the double cut I suppose. I understand the McCarty 594 is an excellent replacement but I understand it has a chunky neck. Is this right? I would want a slim profile neck. What would you recommend?
Thanks

The variety of PRSi is too large to share a proposal relying on the neck profile purely.

Doublecut vs. singlecut, pickup types, bridge type, locking vs. vintage tuners, maple top + mahogany back vs. swamp ash, pickguard vs. wood...

Please share little bit more demands to allow us not to sit on the shore of a pond and a speak about all fishes in the water.

Let us know where you're located so we might be able to recommend a dealer close by to try a bunch.

My 1st thought if you absolutely want one with a slim neck might be to try a Tremonti or maybe even a DGT, which are both 22 fret models.

Maybe give the Custom 22 with a Wide/Thin or Pattern/Thin neck a try if you want to go used. If you're looking for something new, the U.S. Swamp Ash Special could be worth a look. If you're looking to save a few bucks on the new side, have a look at the S2 594 Thinline.

For me, the straight-up non-594 McCarty model blew my mind coming from playing both Gibsons & Fenders. Especially since mine came with the fabulous 57/08 pickups (the older/original McCarty pickups can be love-'em or hate-'em). If you're used to the more traditional/classic feel of Gibsons and don't want to fully jump into the illusion of PRS being all about "custom" or "trem" or "high gain pickups" (which might be PRS's outdated stigma) then I think the McCarty will really make you a PRS believer.

The SC is very close , they made several iterations the SC245 is what Carlos plays when he goes single cut , that's a pretty good endorsement...

I have a rosewood neck SC and it holds up well against my '79 LP Custom and my ' 55 LP Special

I think just getting out to try a bunch of different models is your best option. I played a Les Paul for a few years and moved to a Custom 24 ... totally different beast, but it was what worked for me. If you have the chance, play as many as you can until you find that "one"

I have 15 PRS’s, all different woods, necks and pickups. I like the variety. No one here can answer this question for you. It’s too personal to your tastes. The best advice is to go play one.

For the record , my first electric was a new '79 LP Custom .. a wedding present from my Regional mgr. I also have a '55 LP Special and a IRW neck WL SC , Knaggs Kenai p90 , 2 McSoapies and a DGT so a small bit of experience on this turf, as well as building many.

my humble suggestions in addition to the current offerings at PRS, these well cared for examples

these are all out on the Verb, happy daydreams
