Apparently the stars aligned over the last week and I was able to select the woods for my Private Stock today with the help of Brian G.

This is going to be a very long wait....

Right on man. Big congrats. Killer one piece too. What's the specs?

Gorgeous top! That being said... specs?! ;)

I think this is going to be a unique one. Brian and I were talking and we couldn't find a previous PS to use as a guide for this one.

Quick run down of the unique specs:

Aqua Violet finish
24.5" scale
24 frets
Pattern Thin
2 volume knobs, 1 master tone knob, 1 piezo volume
Graphtech piezo
PRS trem
408 pickups (narrow neck and wider bridge)
3 mini toggles for Siggy switching and piezo switching
Stainless steel frets

I had an SC245 with a pattern thin neck that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the wife is not a fan of SC body shapes, but that's no problem since the PRS doublecut design is very good.

seriously nice wood...can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks. My PS is a combination of several guitars that I really liked. I figured, "Why have 4 guitars, when I can have 1 guitar with all the best features of all 4!"

DC 245 - excellent choice!!! :D

My favorite PRS model ever.

Great spec choices, I dig my DC 245 with 408's. Great one piece flame top!

Well done!

I actually picked the DC245 based on your PS guitars! I also had an SC245, so I figured a DC245 wouldn't be too much of a change. I was really hoping to get a one piece with very tight flames and I think I did pretty well. We'll see how the flames look once the wood is finished.

Awesome! I predict you will love it. There is just something so incredibly magical about the combination of the short scale and the DC shape, both in playability and tone.

I have been carrying the torch as the lead spokesperson for this model for 3 years, it is really great to see so many people ordering DC 245 Private Stocks these days, it is actually very cool for me!

Also cool that the key Private Stock dealers have embraced the DC 245, for instance Brent orders a lot of DC 245's, and Brian G just spec'ed one this week.

Love live the DC 245!!!
