When Geddy Lee’s bass book came out, they did a Rush fan day at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. My buddy is a huge Rush fan, but I couldn’t make that happen - we had tix to a concert that night, and there was a pretty bad snowstorm that day. So when he texted a couple weeks ago that Geddy was coming to Barnes & Noble here, I got tix immediately - less than 10 minutes after he got the announcement, and less than 3 after he told me.

So, today’s the day. We’re just waiting for our turn to get in line, and I’m finally going to meet one of my favorite musicians.

Bonus - after we got our wristbands, we were standing in the CD area, and I hear, “Alan?” Turn sound and it’s none other than the forum’s own @Bill SAS 513. No pictures - he’s too big a celebrity for me to ask.

That’s awesome! My favorite band, ever! Have fun! Too cool that Bill was there.

Cool beyond words. It was about 15 seconds of actual interaction, but Geddy was making eye contact, speaking directly to people, and he seemed very appreciative. I pretty much just had time to say it was a pleasure to meet him and thank him for all the pleasure his music has given me over the years. And I got a fist bump.

Yup...pretty dang cool...and it was seriously the quickest moving line I've ever been a part of...But, like Alan said... Geddy was a gentleman and listen to all our stories/stuff...It's probably the same thing he hears at all these things.
Gracious Guy, for sure...and his handler (helper??) liked my hat and took a photo..."Got RUSH??? Y-Y-Not???" My family and I wore them up to the R&R HoF the year before Rush got in. Yup, we helped get 'em elected!!! LOLOL

And Glad to run into another Forum-ite!!!!!
