I just saw a pic of Gary Moore with what looked like a Custom 24. Was he a PRS player?
I just answered my own? He did play a Custom 24 amongst other guitars. I thought he was strictly a Les Paul player.
Yes he had a couple of Custom 24 builds. If you check out the Ferry Aid charity single he plays a pink PRS for the guitar solo.
Never seen Gary Moore actually play a PRS.
He actually played lots of different guitars. Explorers, Heritage, 335s etc. For a large part of his 80s rock phase he played a fiesta red 60s Strat.
Nice vid of some different styles
He played a Strat for his Hendrix tribute show on Sky Arts
He played Charvel guitars, too. I think the 80's were pretty much "anything goes" for Gary Moore.
Mind-blowing playing! Great clip!
Victims Of The Future....best Gary Moore album, hands down!
Gary was so, so underrated and he could play [email protected] near any style and sound good.
Probably my favorite Gary song. Just so much emotion and oh, that tone...
My favourite gary moore, at the 50th fender anniversary, he stole the show
By far one of my favorite song.
Part of the Hendrix tribute -
Check out he tunes up mid-song!
And in fairness to our forum provider, some PRS content
I cannot imagine being able to coax that much feeling and pain out of a guitar as Mr. Moore was capable of. He was in a class of his own when it came to writing and performing on the instrument.
Heritage had an H150 Gary Moore LE Signature model.
I just got through playing "Still got the blues". Teaching my 13 year old student to play solos...
Mine too but "Still got the blues" is close.
