G7 Capo with Nitro

Does anyone know if it is safe to use a G7 Performance 2 capo with my PRS 2019 nitrocellulose finish? It has silicone rubber pads that touch the back of neck and strings. Their faqs say that the silicone won't harm nitro, but the agents used to make it will...although they say they clean it very well.

I've been using one on a few nitro guitars and haven't had any issues. YMMV.
