Well today I was up in Boulder, CO and decided to swing over to Wildwood Guitars in Louisville, CO. Let me start off by saying, the guys at Wildwood are awesome! They were not shy to just chat and discuss guitars with a 31 year old guy (luckily I was in a suit so I looked more presentable ;) )

What I also really liked was that the store is very unassuming. It's on their Main St but it looks like a small mom & pop shop. When you step inside you know that there is much more than meets the eye.

I did get to spend some time with a John Cruz Masterbuild, but my favorite guitar of the day was 12/20 Private Stock David Grissom. Oh my sweet baby Jesus it was an absolute joy to play! If I had the funds I would have easily gone home with that beauty. Pretty much in love with the DG model now and I'm adding it to my list of desired PRS guitars. Most likely when I purchase a NEW PRS it will be from the great guys at Wildwood!

Here's the picture of the beauty that I played:

Yeah, Steve Mesple is one of my favorite guys in the guitarosphere to talk to and I've certainly bought my share from him over the years. Curious about their relationship with PRS though.....For a while they were getting them in droves, but lately it seems things have cooled down a bit.

I was talking with one of the guys today about PRS and he mentioned that since they tend to change models on a regular basis that they are a little slow in that arena currently.

Still a great shop, wonderful DG PS models and a good place to do a custom order through in my opinion. I love that they are 1hr away too, if they get something good I could call them up to put it on hold and go play it.

Very cool! I hope to get to WW one of these days myself. That DGT in the pic is amazing.

It's really great to find a shop who takes pride in the products that they sell. Their inventory is pretty ridiculous. I'm trying to price out a kidney on the black market so I can pick up 2 of those DG's

Yep, great shop.

And, they are practically right down the street from me.

Big Trouble!

Greg is a friggin riot - I love watching him on YouTube.

Egads - if I had a store with really cool toys that close, I would be in even more trouble than I am. Thankfully (?!?) just a major chain "down the street" for which I now have only use for strings and the occasional accessory.

Great feedback, I'd like to visit them sometime as well. I bought my last two guitars from them and the service was first rate. Likely will be buying my next from them whenever that turns out to be.
