I watch this guy's videos as he often play some of his PRS guitars.
Yesterday video (just watching it now before work) he shows a cool app for IOS devices.
Going to put this on my iPad Air when I get home.

I have a dB meter that I use for setting up my home theater, but this one is way cooler, and probably cheaper to run since I wouldn't have to buy a new 9v battery every time I use it (since I'm kind of an idiot with turning things off, lol).

The in-app advertising is horrible in the free version.

The good news is the version without the ads is only $0.99.

Thanks Ruger, I will def spend a buck for an ad free one.
I was going to see if there was an Android version too, but have got around to it yet.
Would like to use in on my HTC One at work for loud talkers :D

PS, look for Sound Meter Pro on Android Market.
It is free, and has good reviews.
Just installed it, works great.

Hey, I looked at the Pro version for .99, but it was a different brand, not the same brand as the free one in the video above.

It's not the pro version. It's the free version modified by purchase. Click on the little gear in the upper right and then click remove ads.

Thanks, Corey - downloaded and installed. And thanks, rugerpc - will likely make it ad free.

Pretty cool features in the app, I'm not far from hitting 100dB average in my truck

I was looking for a link to pay to get rid of apps, did you find it in the app somewhere? I looked around a little but didn't see anything, and can't find the paid version in the App Store. $0.99 isn't bad at all, I did bump it up against my analog dB meter and it read nearly the same (the analog is just a bit faster, but both showed the same readings).

*EDIT*
Never mind, I looked everywhere BUT settings where that big red "remove ads" button sits right on top, lol.

I installed it, but I may not opt for the paid version.
Reason???

It only comes in portrait mode, and I have an attached Bluetooth keyboard on my iPad Air, so I use it like a laptop,
If there was an option to make the app go into landscape mode, I would buy it.
Kind of a PITA to turn the iPad sideways when you have an attached keyboard/cover on it.

Or, you know, there may be another solution...

Got it. It worked for one day, then quit. No idea how to fix it.
