Anybody else notice the wood grain inside the pickup ring doesn’t match the rest of the top? Wonder if this was a HHH then converted to HSH. The pickup ring is to conceal the join where the wood was glued in.

It's weird. I dig it. If I won the lottery I'd buy to just to check it out. Then I'd send it off to have a killer paint job and have it converted to have no neck pickup. However, I'd keep the middle...just change it to a proper single coil.

Thinking that would look sweet in Ocean Turquoise with hybrid hardware. I'd probably throw Duncan Antiquity pickups in there.

I can’t see the joint looking any worse then the pickup ring does!
