For The Doctor Who Fans

I have no idea how new this is or isn't, but I ran across it on another guitar forum eek: I know!).

Sound effects and music clips from the classic shows and themes. Some really neat stuff there - and, shall we say, interesting names for some of the clips.

I'm guessing it's old since it's Flash based and didn't play too nicely with my browser. Neat that they share the sounds like that, though.

Random Whovian thoughts:

• I can't get into the old ones, but can watch the reboot episodes over and over.
• A house about a half mile down the road has a full-size TARDIS in their front yard. Appeared around Halloween, and it now dons Christmas lights and Santa standing inside the door.
• Another house nearby has a TARDIS "Bad Wolf" mailbox. Every time I go by, I marvel at the specificity of that reference.

My son loves the Tennant years - he'd want that mailbox.

He had his senior picture taken in front of his standup Tardis.

We've been watching the animated Dalek story BBC America is showing. Interesting, but hard to get into.

I have all the available old series I started watching during the Tom Baker time
I do really like the new series

I jumped on board during the Smith years - during "A Christmas Carol". Couldn't convince my son to leave his room to watch with us. After I watched it, I told him I thought he'd like it. They were running Tennant episodes during the week after, and he got hooked hard instantly. I never got hooked on the old series because it wasn't always on regularly.

But I choked up during "Day Of The Doctor" when Baker walked in. We saw that in the theater, and you could tell there were pockets of Tennant fans and Smith fans, but as that Baker scene started, you could feel the whole atmosphere change, and the collective reaction - even though it wasn't a well-kept secret - was so cool.

I have my bedroom furniture from Ikea in -- what I call -- Police Box Blue.
