Lol…. Buddy….. I did.I'd contact the store and ask!
I hear ya. I went back/forth with a US Reverb seller like that. I dropped it after a few non-committal responses.Lol…. Buddy….. I did.
The dude told me he could ship it, but any problems that might arise were on me.
I don’t feel like I should have to study for the Bar on the CITES rules to figure it out, it’s kind of what that dude gets paid for….. but I figured my colleagues here might have experience with same.
Well…… I suppose I could use a vacation to my home country anyway….. fmlShipping it is a crap shoot. By the book, you need CITIES documents to bring it in, and you have no chance of getting those from the manufacturer. To be fair to the store, they cannot write of the origin documents themselves.
You are at the mercy of the customs agent who clears the package. Maybe you just get charged HST, maybe it gets rejected outright.
Best odds of success are carrying it across the border.
Thanks BodiaHere's your answer.....

Ugh, it won't stay on the picture of the back of the head stock. Scroll over and you'll see it. "Custom built for the U.S.A. only"
In the past, the Guitar Shop has had fully documented Braz through. They were a channel for Braz outside of the USLol…… I’d be flying to San Diego if that were the “case”.
I’m originally from there, so. I don’t know how frisky I am to buy a 7k guitar just to spend another 2k on the trip ( CAD )
I’ll figure her out…. But that said there are 2 Brazilian rosewood guitars at The Guitar Shop in Ontario…. I don’t like the two of em, but…. They got to Canada sure enough.

That is the relaxing of the CITES restrictions for musical instruments for all species of Dalbergia except Brazilian:I thought there was a CITES exemption that passed in the last few years exempting musical instruments, and specifically guitars.
