Food for thought: hearing impairment/deafness and music

One of our kids, at about 2 had glue ear from common cold, and we went through testing to get grommets but it cleared up slowly by itself. Hoping you get a good diagnosis and outcome with your daughter naturally.
If not don't despair, there are technolgies such ascochlear implant etc which is only improving each year.

A short update on the topic: last week our daughter got tympanostomy tubes/grommets and a BERA/BAEP test under anesthesia. Although the tubes improved her hearing a bit, she still has severe hearing loss of 80 dB on both ears. The coming months we will be going through the processes to see if hearing aids can help (ENT doctor says that is unlikely to be really succesful) and if she would be a candidate for cochlear implants.

A lot to handle especially when it’s family. I wish that everything works out for your daughter. You are in my prayers! ❤️❤️
