Flying with PRS

Looking at potentially flying across country (Canada) for a gig in July, wanted to find out if anyone has experience flying with their PRSi?

What is best; hard case and check it? Gig bag and carry on? Any thing special I need to request of the airlines?

Any advice is welcome.

FYI I would probably travel with the SE CU24 and the Core Mira for this one.

In 2010 I flew from NY to Vancouver with a SE ONE in its gig bag. They let me hang it in the closet up front. I checked in my POS strat in a junky hard case as baggage and both came home just fine.
