Hello,
I'm a fairly new owner of a awesome PRS Standard SE 24 with a floating tremolo bridge, which I usually didn't have in previous guitars.
One of the first things I did was to change the strings in it from the ones it came with to 10-46. I knew that the bridge might go a weird angle, so I changed them one by one and was very careful.
After changing them, the bridge did in fact lift and tilt forward, so I went on to tighten the springs at the back, one turn at a time. The bridge now is quite parallel to the body, but I'm afraid it's still lifted in comparison to what was before. When I got the guitar, the bridge was practically touching the body, now there's quite a gap.
The guitar tunes nicely, the action is still awesome, and the trem works properly.
Do you think this bridge position can stay like this, or should I maybe add a spring, or change the spring setting from I I I to / I \ ?
Thanks for any help.
