Floating Stand, Buffalo Leather Straps, Nitro and KL Series Guitars

This one is pretty random, so I figured "General Discussion" was the place. Most of this involves the finish on my KL 380:

1) What is the finish on a 2009 KL 380? Poly, CAB over Nitro (or is it the other way around. I don't actually understand this finish), or just plain Nitro?

2) Do I need to remove my lovely new PRS dark brown buffalo leather strap from the KL 380 after playing sessions, or can I leave it on the guitar for a few days at a time with it on a Hercules stand, or the PRS floating stand that I'm thinking I *need*?

3) Any touchup repair recommendations for the KL 380 finish? I've heard nitro, which isn't usually sitting around a non-luthier's digs. Also StewMac superglue, nail polish, etc. I dropped my Gibson multitool on the very bottom of the body, and put a tiny ding in the body. I just want to fill it so it doesn't peel.

4) Anyone having issues with the Hercules stands and Nitro? All past anecdotes say they are the best for Nitro (they are damn fine stands for sure).

5) I don't read too much about the PRS floating stands. Supposedly fine with PRS Nitro, and awfully bitchin' looking. I'm thinking I need one for the "Current Player." I mean after all, I have a huge collection (n=3).

For interest, regarding the 3 n's, oldest to newest -
2003 Santana III - I *think* this is poly???
2009 KL 380 - I have no idea what the finish is???
2020 S2 Studio - I know this one is Nitro. Advertised as, smelled as, "squeaky when new" as nitro.
I'm hoping to be able to keep 2 on Hercules stands, and one on the PRS stand, without worry. I'd love to leave the straps on as many of them as I can, but I'm OK with removing them. They'll be in their gig bags most of the time. I use the gig bags for storage, and put the cases for the 2 cores in the closet.

Leathers are tanned with different chemical processes, and are also dyed and finished with different chemicals. They aren't all the same.

One person's strap might damage a finish in a day or two, another person's strap might never damage it. It's really impossible to know until you try it and see how long it takes to screw up the finish.

Meantime, why take a chance? It takes how many seconds to put a strap on the strap button? Two, maybe, if you're moving slowly?

I see you are data driven as to whether or not the strap will hose the finish. Maybe 5 - 10 seconds to get a strap on the button for me. I'm not sure why. Still, a pretty short duration.

It really is. I feel the same way about opening a case and lifting the guitar out, as opposed to taking it down from a stand or wall mount.

But I am a lone voice crying out in the wilderness on that subject!
